Minnesota State Fair 2007

Today was our last day at the Minnesota State Fair. We got there around 8:30AM and left around 6:30PM. We are tired and sweaty with tired feet. It was another great year for the fair. I have a few hundred pictures that I will be going through and posting when we get back. I tried a few new foods this year like the Pastry Puff. I was not too impressed with it. It may have been because they were not fresh. We are pretty pooped out so I will not type too much more. We will back in town late Thursday night.

Our trip to the Minnesota State Fair (2007) began with Nicole taking a dive in a McDonald’s parking lot. (see picture on right) She is doing just fine, but it bled a lot at first and really hurt. I was worried I would have to rent one of those scooters for her to tool around in for the entire fair. Then I would have made fun of her. Once Nicole got an ice pack on her knee, we headed up to the fair and proceeded to stuff our selves silly.

Our first day was filled with a lot of food and walking. I have not worked up the nerve to try the Kool-Aid Pickles yet, and I don’t think I ever will. They look really gross.
We purchased a few t-shirts/polo shirts and I took a ride on the Space Tower.
I have a ton of pictures from the first day out. I will post most of them when I get home, but you can see a couple of my favorites below.

It starts Thursday morning. This will be my last post before we go to the fair on August 27th. As normal I will try to post updates from our hotel, but you never know how technology will work out. Until then, enjoy the pictures from years past.

Yesterday the MN State Fair Website posted their official daily schedules and information. I am about to explode with excitement! There is something about the daily schedules coming out that makes me realize the fair is just around the corner and it’s almost time to pack up and go. This year we have the same plans as last year. We will drive up on Sunday, go to the fair Monday and Wednesday and drive home Thursday. Tuesday we plan on taking in some other sites of the cities.
