Not much going on since the Clay County Fair. Nicole threw her back out yesterday so I have been having to wait on her hand and foot. She is getting better, but still aches a little. This weekend we will be out town for a horse show and should be back Sunday night.

Coming up the week after that is the Harvest Horse show in the cities. We will be gone for 6 days for that event. We will also spend 2 days in Northern Minnesota. Just an FYI, our cell phones don’t always work up there so don’t expect to get a hold of us those days.

The clay county fair was fun, but there were some disappointments this year. First my favorite place to eat, The Sirloin Hut, was not there. Normally they have a great serving of Sirloin Tips and Seasoned Potatoes. But for some reason they decided not to show. There was another place selling sirloin, but it was not as good. Then they had to cancel the Harness racing due to low participation. The low turnout was because they re-did the track for sprint cars. I cannot blame them for this, but it was sad to see the harness racing go. The last disappointment was the lack of animals. Hardly anybody was there with their pigs, cows and horses. The barns were almost totally empty.
Even with these things, it was still fun. It will not stop us from going back next year.

Monday morning we will get our last taste of Fair food with the Clay County Fair. We will be there two days this year and will be back Tuesday night. I am not anticipating many pictures this year since there is nothing much that will be different. But you never know.
