I did it again. This morning I finished my 2nd 5k with my fastest time yet of 33:45. I was not last this time, but there were a lot more runners this time around. Since its Halloween, there were all kinds of costumes there. I was passed by a hotdog, ketchup, mustard, a cloud, a rainbow, a pine tree air freshener, an ice cream cone and a variety of other things. But I think I beat the Zombies. Woo Hoo! Nicole had fun walking, but was freezing. It was about 40 degrees or so. I was very warm the entire time.

Last night we also did something we have never done before. We went to the audience participation version of the Rocky Horror Picture Show. I cannot begin to describe how silly, fun and weird this was. I first went to the grocery store and got the required items for the show. Rice, Scotts brand toilet paper, water guns, noise makers, bells, playing cards, party hats, toast, etc. Then during the movie, at the appointed times, you throw the rice, the TP, the toast, etc. You are encouraged to yell back at the characters and generally mock them in any way possible. Nicole had never seen the movie before and it was the 2nd time for me. We both loved it and will probably do it again if it happens next Halloween.

My next 5k run is this Saturday. Its a trick or treat run, so people are encouraged to dress up in costumes. I have an orange shirt, so that’s as dressed up as I am going to get. Nicole will be joining me for the walk, so that should be fun.

A big thank you to everyone who came to our 10th wedding anniversary party! It was a great time with good food, a good hockey game and great company. I posted a few pictures on the flickr site. Maybe we will have to do it again next year!

Today we did one of the most fun things we have ever done. We drove real race cars on a real race track. Thanks to the BIR Performance Driving School. Nicole ended up going out on the track two times while I just went the one time. The cars do not have speedometers in them, so we are not sure exactly how fast we went, but it was fast. I drove off the track once, but was able to get back on, while Nicole performed perfectly. Nicole also had to learn how to drive a manual transmission in about 1 hour before getting on the track. I have TONS of pictures of us out on the track, so I will post those once we get back home. The one on the right is of Nicole.

The sun came out just enough today for me to get a beautiful run in. Just across from Craguns is a brand new trail that runs through some great views. I stopped just long enough to get the picture on the right with my camera phone.

After my morning run we headed south to a nice farm that had a corn maze and a fun tractor ride. Luckily we did not get lost in the maze. I got some fun pictures that I will post once we get back. Tomorrow we will be doing the performance driving school. (as long as it doesn’t rain)
